Tomorrow Crystal City’s Annual Power Purge & Shred goes from 7am- 7pm at 20th/Bell Street in rain or shine.

Pack up your old electronics and help Crystal City stay green! Feel free to bring old computers, cell phones, TVs, printers, microwaves, monitors, and any other unused electronics. They’re also giving you the chance to shred old documents in a safe and green manner!

Wait!  Before you head over to the Post Office, have you made sure that your packages are environmentally friendly?  Each year the US Postal Service sends out about 212 pieces of mail around the holiday season.  Do you know how much cardboard, paper, and stamps that is?  There are ways to green when going to the post office.  You should check them out here.

The Christmas Tree Is Green In Color and For The Planet

When the tree is found and taken from it’s original place, it is taken with all roots in tact so that they can later replant it.  How awesome is that?  Good news is that most displayed trees are done this way.
