Are your old electronics stacking up? Old cellphones hiding in your closets? Remember the bricks we use to carry around? How can you get rid of them and be eco-friendly? It’s simple: purge &  shred! Tomorrow Crystal City’s Annual Power Purge & Shred goes from 7am- 7pm at 20th/Bell Street in rain or shine.

Pack up your old electronics and help Crystal City stay green! Feel free to bring old computers, cell phones, TVs, printers, microwaves, monitors, and any other unused electronics. They’re also giving you the chance to shred old documents in a safe and green manner!

The Christmas Tree Is Green In Color and For The Planet

Here is something, I’m sure you didn’t know about the Rockerfeller Christmas Tree.

When the tree is found and taken from it’s original place, it is taken with all roots in tact so that they can later replant it.  How awesome is that?  Good news is that most displayed trees are done this way.
