5 Inexpensive Ways to Organize Apartment Clutter
-
Ribbons. You most likely received presents over the holidays and thought that the ribbons were so pretty that you would hold on to them. Or, you figured it was more eco friendly to find another use for it. Try this: Tie the ribbon around sheet sets to keep matching pieces together. You’ll never have to look for matching pillow cases again.
- 3 Ring Binders. Most people have at least one hanging around – I have tons. Gather up the instruction manuals that came with your appliances. Store them in the binder. Suddenly, you have organized all of your manuals AND you have cleared out at least one drawer.\
- Shoeboxes. I am notorious for hanging on to shoeboxes. I think that there are bound to be plenty of uses for a sturdy box and lid. And it turns out I am right. You can use both the box and the lid as drawer dividers. Organize your sock drawer or any drawer in any room of your apartment with this cheap fix.
- Unused Wine Racks. I was given a wine rack as a gift a while back. I had no idea what to do with it. It didn’t fit in my kitchen, and I rarely bought wine. So, I put in my office and used it to store magazines. I felt very crafty when it finally dawned on me that I could use it for that.
- Desktop Organizer. You know those plastic desk organizer bins. The ones with a section for pencils, staples, envelopes, etc.? You can also use that to organize your bathroom sink top. Use it to hold things like Q-Tips, make up, combs, brushes, and nail clippers.
So, there you have it. 5 things that were most likely the culprits of clutter in your apartment that can now be used to combat it. I’ll bet if you really looked around your apartment, you could find even more things that be used in new ways.
